I’m sure you’re tired of hearing the words “I’ve been working on samples” because you know I can’t share pictures. However, at the moment, I’ve been doing a fair amount of sample knitting. Partly because I’m planning a holiday in March but also because I’ve been working with some fabulous inspiration and that I can share with you.

Some of these are giving me lace patterns and I’m working with more “moving” stitches. Taking from one side and adding to the other. Others seem to be more “diagrammatic” and remind me of the way I notate my own designs.

So far, work is going well and the samples are coming along nicely. I’ve got ideas for 2 more for this batch which will bring the total up to 5. That makes me happy but I still have get them knitted, so I need to crack on.

Awesome inspirational pics! I bet you are coming up with some great ideas based on these…and I agree that no.4 needs to be a border on a shawl or shawlette, mind you no.3 would be quite fun to knit as a border too…. :)

I’m thinking a lot about how stitches can travel in a non-cable kind of way.

So next stole I design you want No 4. Are you seeing that as colour work or is it …. OMG! I’ve just had an idea for a texture ….

      Must go and knit.
