As of tomorrow, I’m on holiday!

I’m a little bit excited. For the last few months I’ve been working with a real focus. Or rather, I’ve been more organised and the progress I’ve been making has felt more substantial. Working with such determination is great but it means that I feel ready for a rest. So I’m taking a week off. Actually it’s a little more than a week because I’m not going back to work on St Patrick’s Day.

There’s no real plan for this week. I just want to be able to spend some proper time with my WIPs. Yes. I’m taking time off from knitting to knit, but I’m spending the week playing. I may take my camera out for a walk. I may play with some ideas I’ve found on Pinterest. I will definitely be working on some fun knitting. There’s plenty to keep me occupied. My current list of WIPs include –

• A sweater for me
• A sweater for Boy
• A sock
• A big lace shawl for me
• A gift shawl for a friend

I am desperately trying to ignore my Ravelry queue so I’m not tempted to cast on another thing but I suspect my resolve won’t last! I’m also going to take the chance to work on some long yoga sessions and maybe even play with my spinning wheel.

So whilst there may not be a fixed plan, there are plenty of ideas. I’ll let you know how I get on.
