Pause for Breath

Yesterday I helped move my mother-in-law into her new home. As you can imagine, it was a long day but it flew by and we achieved an awful lot. I returned to my home yesterday evening after almost 3 weeks away, exhausted. Thanks to my amazing husband who plied me with beer and pizza and poured me into a hot bath, I woke up this morning ready to prepare for my move tomorrow.

I’ve had confirmation that the space is ready for me to move into and actually, I could be in today but I’ve set my mind on 1st May for reasons of auspicious beginnings. Instead, today, I’ve been up in the loft getting all my stuff together. All my spare yarn, old sketchbooks, things we don’t have space for in the flat. Everything is boxed up and ready to go.

Boxes.

Boxes.

More boxes.

More boxes.

My collection will be going to the studio too.

My collection will be going to the studio too.

There are more boxes and things to go there but this is the bulk of it. Ian and I will move it over tomorrow and Friday. We have to carry it there but fortunately, the studio is only 10 mins walk from our home so it won’t be too bad.

I’ll take before shots when I pick up the keys and I will share with you the progress we make. Not long to wait now.
