Having been at the new place for a week, I’ve unpacked pretty much all I can. I’ve still got some boxes to go but I’m waiting on some other pieces of furniture to arrive so that I can put those last bits away. I know some people are keen to see where Triskele Designs now lives though, so if you can excuse a bit of a mess, would you like a look round?
This is the studio as you walk in. I found a piece of netting a while ago that I held on to thinking I could do a knitting thing with it. As I was unpacking. I realised if I suspend it from the original sprinkler system that runs through my room, it makes a great “pin board” for samples, current ideas, and experiments.
As you can see Tarquin is modelling “Hetherington” which is still in progress having had some “design issues”. Sometimes he doesn’t have anything to wear in which cases he’s known as “Starkers Tarkers”.
This is some of my working yarn for samples.
At the studio, I’m able to do some spinning too. It’s something I’ve wanted to do for ages so it’s great to finally have the space to practice and explore yarn construction.
I love the view I have from my window. When it’s sunny like today, it makes my soul sing. When it’s grey and overcast, my studio feels snugly and protective.
So what do you think? Can I keep it?
